While Cassian is not Force-sensitive, Andor showed that his morals fell in line with the Jedi way. He didn’t have a problem lying, cheating or stealing to get what he wanted - even at the expense of his team members. Sith encounter, as Skeen exhibited Sith-like qualities. The confrontation between him and Skeen felt like a very Jedi vs. No one got more that they deserved and anyone who tried to cheat their way along would quickly regret that choice. His commitment to giving everyone their due was a very Jedi concept. That's why he gave Skeen what he deserved - a blaster bolt - and only took his agreed-upon cut of the spoils.Ĭassian's use of "aggressive negotiations" might have been a bit premature, but he had the right intent. He was about everyone getting their fair share. But Cassian wasn't committed to the Rebellion yet either, so killing Skeen was solely his moral code at work. He wasn't just in the heist for the money or he would have taken Skeen's offer and run with it. Shooting Skeen, while cold-blooded murder, proved Cassian's motivation. It proved to be the last suggestion he ever made as Cassian shot Skeen instead. Because of all the chaos, Skeen tried to convince Cassian to split the money, leave Vel behind and abandon the Rebellion for good. Gorn and Taramyn died in the subsequent firefight and the possibly Force-sensitive Varis Nemik was crushed by a stack of credits during their getaway. They would have gotten away cleanly if one communications officer hadn't overheard their signals and decided to be a hero. The Rebel team captured the garrison's chief and his family as hostages to make him unlock the vault. With the help of the traitorous Lieutenant Gorn, nearly everything went off without a hitch. The whole operation was risky, yet they were all committed to it - even if the team members didn't always agree with one another.
